Reebok pushes us to GO BOLD with the Interval 96
Initially built for high performance running back in the ’90s but now a classic, Reebok is set to release the INTERVAL (Interval 96 to be exact) across Asia this season. While this isn’t a one to one remake of the classic Interval, it does bring the key elements of the OG design but with updates fit for today’s needs.
We were blessed to be sent a pair from our good friends from Reebok PH a good week before they drop. Here is a closer look at the White/Denim Dust/Pale Pink colorway:
To banner in the Interval, Reebok tapped China’s William Chan, Korea’s Zico and Japan’s Yurino with their own take on the GO BOLD philosophy of the shoe. Each demonstrates their daring vision through a specially-created video where they take a boring situation and turn it on its head with unexpected and bold moves. Check out their videos below:
I vaguely remember the Interval growing up, but seeing the big vector cutting through the midsole is reminiscent to the rest of Reebok’s bold, out of this world designs from the ’90s. Reebok branding is seen on the tongue and heel, complete with reflective materials for that extra shine even when it goes dark. For the shoe’s cushioning, the Interval boasts of DMX cushioning, keeping it comfy for everyday use.
The Reebok Interval 96 is set to release this Tuesday, October 15. The White/College Royal/Scarlet OG colorway is releasing at Sole Academy while the White/Denim Dust/Pale Pink colorway will be available at Reebok Glorietta and Vertis North. The Interval retails for Php 4,995.
