This Summer, adidas and Star Wars are at it again with a couple of releases to add to the ever growing collection from the two brands. First up is the Forum Lo RS inspired by the Hoth. The shoe has a white leather upper with the grey camo to provide an accent to the classic shoe. The heel tab has a three-striped AT-AT and labeled it “Hoth Blizzard Force” . The side panel also features the Galactic Empire logo as well as a storm trooper on the tongue to give the shoe more SW detail.
My immediate favorite from the bunch is the Superstar 2.0. With nylon camouflage for the upper, this version of the Superstar is inspired by the Battle of Hoth. With orange striped lining, Rogue Squadron tongue label and Rebel Alliance heel patch and tag, the camo’d Superstar definitely looks serious yet playful for everyday wear. Take out the Star Wars badges and you have a Superstar that can rival the previous collabs (KZK, NBHD, etc.). The Superstar 2.0 retails about 4,6+++.
The third shoe from this batch is the Gazelle 2 SW. Rasta Star Wars? Since when did Boba Fett go rasta and roaming around with a boom box? This isn’t the first time adidas made Star Wars “hip”. The upper uses black suede while the stripes are done with neon-ized Rasta colors. A specialized tongue (Boba Fett with boom box), heel and contrast stitching completes the Gazelle’s look. Dubbed as the “Boba Fett” (though there was a special ZX that came out a few months back) the shoe’s tongue has a special pocket/compartment to keep your change, keys, or anything else that needs to be kept hidden. The shoe also comes with extra neon laces. The Gazelle 2 SW retails for 3,895 php.
