just a couple of things before the week ends… or starts

So is everyone putting on the holiday weight? I sure am. But to help me control it, I decided to walk around the malls hoping for some great finds, sneaker-wise. I ended up in SM Megamall where I found adidas and their holiday releases. Ranging from the TS Commanders, TS Creators (both Mid and Lo), and the new TS line for 2009- the TS Bounce and the TS Lightning. They released 4 colorways for the TS Creator Lo (Arenas’ new sneaker…. though I am slowly doubting he’ll ever wear his sneakers this season). Most likely everyone will be getting the White/White/Grey and the Black/Purple Polka Dot variety, due to them being safe and “goes with whatever’s on my closet”. I had to get the one with the oommph.

I got the TS Creator x undrcrwn edition. I read over the net that there should be limited quantities worldwide. I just hope they weren’t yanking my chain. I’ve been in discussion with undrcrwn’s Bryon Sheng and asked him how many of these are available worldwide. It’s quite interesting that adidas didn’t sell the more traditional Gilbert colorways- blue/rust/grey, white/black/gold, and white/blue/rust. Maybe they’ll churn ‘em out once Ol’ Agent Zero decides to step on the court this season.
If you caught the christmas day games over at BTV and C/S9, you would’ve seen a couple of really cool sneakers on display. The Hornets-Magic game had two cool pairs- Chris Paul’s new shoe- the CP3 II, and Dwight’s TS Bounce- Superman. The Cavs-Wizards game had LeBron wearing the “Chalk” LeBron VIs. The Spurs-Suns game had Parker’s Huarache ’09 and Nash’s Zoom MVP. Even Tim Duncan had more emotion on his sneakers as he wore a Black TS Bounce with red and green accents. But I believe what caused the most sneaker frenzy was the biggest Christmas day game of them all- the Lakers and the Celtics. Kobe had his new Kobe IVs and gave out a couple around the arena. KG wore the TS Commander x undrcrwns. Rondo had the Nike Blue Chip low with Santa on the tongue. Even Perk, Ray Ray and P2 all had Christmas-inspired kicks on check. It was definitely a sight to see with everyone else wearing either team-colored sneaks or Christmas inspired ones.

howdy. Can I interview you for Basketball Exchange? For an article about kicks in the local scene, which I know nothing about
my email is ghmercado@gmail.com.
thank you!
