So, Nike and adidas shared with us their special Christmas Day colorways. What about Jordan Brand? Ofcourse a bunch of Team Jordan players will be playing next week and we’re curious as to what they will be wearing on the 25th. This season, JB draws inspiration from the Cardinal colorway of the Air Jordan VII, a shoe MJ wore during one memorable Christmas Day Game in ’92.
Just the other day, Basketball TV actually showed that unforgettable holiday game between the Bulls and the Knicks back in 1992. MJ dominated the game with the stat line of 42 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, and 3 steals as he led the Bulls to a 89-77 win in New York. Like any other important date in sneaker history, MJ wore the Air Jordan VII in the Cardinal colorway. The bronze/gold accent complemented the blacks and reds associated with His Airness.
On Wednesday, the three special pairs will be on sale at Titan — the Melo M11, the CP3.VIII, and the Super.Fly 3.
The Melo M11 looks like the VII the most, with the same color blocking and gold speckles on the shoe’s side panels for additional detail.
The Super.Fly3 features the print we’ve seen on the Air Jordan VII tongue, now done on the shoe’s upper. The Cardinal Red hits can also be seen throughout, alongside it is a gradient midsole, adding that sense of motion and fluidity to the shoe.
Last but certainly not the least is the CP3.VIII. Playing the contrast card to the Super.Fly 3, the Air Jordan VII print is now seen on the shoe’s midsole as well as adding a speckled outsole for additional detail. December 24 is the release date for all three pairs for this Christmas Day collection.
