After 30 years, the shoe’s still a crowd-drawer. The New Balance 1300‘s been one of the best (at least in my opinion) silhouettes to come out of the NB factory since they were first introduced in 1985. However, when the brand released an exclusive Japan-only release back in ’95, the shoe became a cult classic, garnering that elusive and must-have status for most runner-crazed heads. Why do people like the JP edition? The mesh and premium nubuck used on the shoe’s upper are just on a class of its own, making you feel that they were truly made specifically to your needs. Since ’95, New Balance has released the 1300JP every 5 years since ’95, with 2015 marking it’s 5th reissue.
After releasing in select stockists around the region, we’re pleased to announce that a couple of pairs made it to our shores. The New Balance M1300JP is now available at New Balance BHS (newly opened store, near Bo’s Coffee and Texas Roadhouse) and Progress (Flagship store), retailing for Php 14,995. The shoe is available in very limited quantities.
