A couple of days ago Jordan Brand and Titan released the Jordan Big Ups in a traditional Jordan colorway, black/white-varsity red. Dropping tomorrow, November 9, is another colorway for the Big Ups. This colorway is suited more for long-time Team Jordan school Syracuse University, expect them to wear this as well alongside other Team Jordan pairs like the Q and A Flight. This version of the Big Ups features a grey marble pattern over the orange ribbed midfoot panel, giving the shoe additional detail compared to its initial release.

If you’re a fan of a full Max Air unit and JB, pick the Big Ups tomorrow for 6,995 php at Titan stores everywhere.

If you were nowhere near a mall or didn’t bother dropping by to get your Kobe tickets, there were a couple of pairs that dropped over the weekend. the Jordan Fly Wade, Dwyane Wade’s 1st official signature shoe with Jordan Brand is now available in the “Miami Vice/South Beach” colorway. I think the colorblocking on this pair was done right and the pink flamingo laces was a nice touch to give the shoe extra character. Just check out the other photos listed here for a better appreciation of this Jordan Brand Quickstrike. The shoe retails for 6,995 php and is available at Titan (FORT).

As early as 5 am, Jordanheads, sneaker fans and aficionados trooped to their local hole to cop the White Cements. As I posted from a day prior, the Air Jordan III Retros dropped yesterday morning and within the hour, they were all gone. Whether you dropped by Titan (who opened the earliest Saturday am), Nike Park (all known stores in existence, or Nike Stadium, lines were evident and prepped with heat. From Js, to AMs, to even a couple of KBs (ok, there were some flip flops or “tsinelas” depending on who lined up and where you lined up), everyone who knew the importance of the IIIs came through to get their pair. By the afternoon all that were left were GS and Infant-sized IIIs. Restock? Doubt it. All Gone? Most Definitely.

2010 is the year of the Jordanhead. Not only is it the 25th year of the Air Jordan line,, the year’s been filled with kicks that you really can’t miss out on. We’ve seen the Silver Anniversary pairs come out, a ton of VIs, and a host of others. From new kicks to rehashes from the collection, it seems like the Jordan Brand’s mission this year was to send everyone to the poor house with their releases. One thing that hasn’t really appealled to a lot of heads are hybrids. Hybrids may sometimes complement (though oftentimes ruin) classics, but they’re there really to give the new generation their own take at a shoe’s history.

Among all the hybrids (at least this is what I can recall) of the Js, the Spiz’ikes can be catergorized as one of the better ones. On May 8 (or possibly being sold on other stores already) ,Nike Park BHS will be selling this version of the Spiz’ike. Others have dubbed this as the Infrared Spiz’ike, even if it’s just the midsole and portions of the outsole that has the coveted color. The cw (black/new blue/white/infrared) is pretty clean and comes off as one of the better looking ‘zikes around.

Aside from the infrared being the x-factor, the shoe also has an icy blue sole (another favorite of shoe heads) and a white-on-white elephant print, a design aspect taken from the IIIs. With the rumor of the shoe being designed by DJ Clark Kent being discarded, wouldn’t this be a nice pick up regardless? The shoe’s lace buckle has ‘Mars’ on the left, with ‘Mike’ on the right. The Spiz’ike also carries the Mars image and Spike Lee’s 40 Acres logo on the shoe’s heel tab.

Just so everyone’s in the know, the shoe drops this Saturday (if they haven’t sold them yet).

Nike and Jordan Brand really know how to empty your pockets at the most opportune times. As they released the Kobe Vs (four colorways at that) last weekend, those weren’t the only notable releases you had to get your hands on. Jordan Brand, preparing for God’s 25th release next week, had a couple other releases worth your hard earned dinero.

First up ofcourse is the Air Jordan VI Black/Red. Obviously, they were gone. Real quick. Real heads picked these up and understood the value of such a shoe dropping on our shores. Sadly, I don’t have a picture of them to prove that they really were on sale. But yes, they were out, saw them in bags and reserved at stock rooms around town. As my man King Crux would put it, they were gone with the quickness! Another AJVI release were the Motorsports edition (seen above and below). Not only is this MJ’s 6th shoe, but it also commemorates MJs 6th year into the motorsports/bike world. The clean look makes you want to lick them. What’s great here is that JB used premium leathers for this release. Yes folks, these are Quickstrikes. So grab one now before you start regretting and remembering the time when you had the chance.

For those who want to keep it ol’ school, JB also released the Urban Haze/Dark Army Jordan 1s. I’m sure they didn’t come out this weekend, but aren’t they great? The olive green/white/gum works well with any neutral theme. Versatility is the key to this one. It may seem to be an off color at first glance, but what’s great about earthy tones is that they work with everything. They retail for about 5,995php (correct me if I’m wrong guys, memory’s not the same anymore). Check out the laces on the Js, ain’t that something you don’t see everday on a Jordan.

Last but certainly not the least, are the Tinker Hatfield Jordan Alpha 1s. This may look like the Jordan 1s, but they’ve been tweaked for 2010. The Alpha 1s have full length zoom air to cushion your precious puppies. Now, you can ball in Jordan 1s without worrying about hurting after the game. I failed to take a photo of the footbed on these bad boys. The left one reads “The first to bring color to the game.” with the second reading “Thank you.” This is actually a fitting tribute to Tinker, who’s engineered the most iconic kicks we’ve all grown to love (AM1s, AJs 3 onwards, except for most of the latter ones). Can you believe that Jordans have been in existence for 25 years already? Remarkable, right? Well, 2010 will be filled with Jordans so save up folks. This’ll be one expensive year.

Oh by the way, the Jordan 1 25th Anniversary joints also came out last weekend along with the briefcase. Yes, a briefcase. It’s only 7,495php guys, a steal if you ask me. Check them out at the bigger Nike stores around Manila for availability (if they’re not yet gone). I heard BHS, Glorietta, MOA and Trinoma had them. Call them for more info! Thanks to Nike Trinoma for letting me take photos with ease.

Not only did Nike release the Zoom Sister 1 LEs and the Zoom Flight Club Invisible Packs, they also released a couple nice pieces for all you Jordan heads.

First up is the Jordan 1 Retro High Strap in a black/black/voltage yellow colorway. I can see at least two things that makes this a great shoe. One, the fine colorway. Black’s always an option for either day or night and the subtle yet loud voltage yellow gives the shoe enough of a kick to make it a neck breaker. Secondly, the strap. This gives the AJ1 a special look, not that it needs it- but it gives the AJ1 a different feel to it. And if you don’t like it, you can always remove the strap. The initially released other colorways of the Retro High Straps before, but this is more like the “NOW” color so rock it while it’s still hot!

The other Jordan shoe out right now is the Jordan L’Style. With all the high tops coming out, Jordan had to come out with a non-ball shoe that’s good for clubbin’. They are a bit high, but so were the Yeezys and I don’t see anyone complaining. Similar to the Retro 1, these aren’t as loud. They do come in the same colorway as the 1s but the volt yellow can be found in the stitching and the outsole. There’s also a perforated Air Jordan logo by the heel but you won’t be able to decipher it unless you look real close. I’m sure there won’t be a lot of fans for the L’Style but I’m positive people will rock these eventually. It takes a while to appreciate it.

Here are more shots of the Jordan 1 Retro High Straps. Both pairs are priced at 6,295 PHP and is available at Nike BHS.

Aside from the Invisible Pack, I stumbled upon these for the ladies. So yes, Nike also caters to the lady sneaker fiends. Although these aren’t NSW pairs, these fall under the performance LEs, similar to the Zoom Flight Clubs. These are the Zoom Sister One LEs. Actually, the Sister 1s came out a few months back but these come in 3 pretty cool colors. So the shoe is for training, and it has a mix of Nike’s latest technology to make your training a lil’ easier. The shoe’s constructed with Diamond FLX has the whole flywire thing going on as well as Zoom Air cushioning for your happy feet.

Each colorway of the LE has a different “cheerleader” to cheer you on with your workout. To make it even better for your workout, the shoe also comes with Nike+, so you can track your progress with your ipod. Aside from the colorful look to the shoe, you can also see the “Sistahs” of Nike BHS proudly rocking their inner sister on the store display.

Anyways, do drop by BHS or other premium Nike stores around town to cop these tasty kicks.

As this week is mostly a run through of the sneaker shops over at Trinoma, today’s article is all about the swoosh. As Nike’s been riding high on so many great releases over the Summer (US, that is), this 2 week hiatus since Ondoy/Pepeng has brought about a flooding on their Nike stores. Take the shoe on top, the Trainer 1, for example. Yes, this is the same exact shoe as the Light Out MPs, obviously in a different colorway. This is quite similar (but not the exact one) to the original Air Trainer 1 worn by Bo Jackson. Yes, kids. If you’re wonderin’ where the PacMan Knows design came from, it came from this man’s campaign with Nike some 20 years ago. Bo Jackson’s a multi-sport athlete, wherein he did play a lot of football and baseball in his heyday. So when Bo was all over the place, Nike had a brilliant campaign of stating that Bo Knows. The ads went on something like Bo Knows baseball. Bo Knows football. Bo Knows (fill in sport). It was pretty cool and like Mike, everybody wanted to be as awesome as Bo Jackson. There’s another colorway of the Trainer 1s available here- the Red/Grey/White/Blue (i think). They’re also priced cheaper than the MP Trainers.

This Nike Dunk Low is for the ladies. There are 2 in this pack, one with a red colorway. The midsection of the upper has that glitter-y fabric that if you do look closely, are separated in flower-like sections. I just had to put these on here for the lady readers of the blog (so that I’m not too biased when it comes to the updates). And besides, they look good! The Dunk, over the past 2-3 years has really blown up in terms of the mainstream crowd. The hardcore sneakerheads have been harping on the Dunks as early as ’01 if I’m not mistaken. You can always find someone rocking a pair of Dunks at the mall or at the club. In the Dunk’s defense, they are quite comfortable and they reall look great. You can find the Red ones over at the Nike section of the gallery.

Here’s another one for the ladies. Dudes, you’ll get yours in a bit. This Air Max 1 is also part of the 3-part pack for the ladies. The other one (no picture though) is white and cream if I’m not mistaken. They (along with a black version which I haven’t seen in store) are part of the Speckled Pack. If you look at the midsole, you can obviously see, well, the speckles. The suede/mesh upper’s pretty straightforward but poses a simple yet classic look, perfect with any get up. This is obviously part of their Holiday releases. In the coming weeks, we’ll surely see a lot of the nice colorways pop out of the woodworks from the Swoosh.

As mentioned on my Shoe Salon post, Nike’s also got this East vs. West campaign going on (if I’m not mistaken this is part of their Fall collection- just in time for school in the US and other parts of the globe not named Philippines). Initially, we showed you the AM1 for the West. Here’s an AM90 reppin’ the East (to be honest, I’m not sure if I read the tag right). For all I care, it’s reppin’ the south or the north or even the west. Bottomline, they look good. Part of the whole pack also carry Dunks, AM1s and AM90s. I’m sure there are more, so stay tuned and check out the real from the Movement on this Pack.

With Vans hogging the limelight a bit from the big boys, Nike had to come out with something that can kick Vans’ butt. The Talache Mid ACs, in brown and black suede, come with the vulcanized sole as well. They’re pretty clean cut and straightforward. What’s great about this is the stitching around the upper and the red-orange eyelets creating a nice accent to the shoe. The black one can be partially seen at the gallery as well under the Nike section.

For the performance/basketball junkies out there, I have something for you guys too. With the ZKIVs being such a huge hit, they really had to bring out another one! This has got to be the umpteenth release of the neo-classic Kobe shoe. Can we all agree that this is the best Kobe signature out there? Nothing against adidas and nike’s earlier works, but for a shoe to have a year’s worth of drops, in various moments of kobe’s career, wow. That’s all I got to say. This version is the White/Grey-Varsity Purple version. The shoe has a white base with purple flywires and a speckled mudguard. About the speckled look, is this Nike’s new trend? Earlier this year, it was the whole safari look that came out in a lot of AM1s. Now it’s the speckled effect. I’m not complaining, I actually like it. This is actually a clean one. I’d buy this over the Gold Medals or even the Black-Reds.

There’s also a new Hyperize colorway, and the some Jordan 1 Phat Lows in attendance. The Jordan 1 Phat Low 60+ pack is also available in the Atlanta Hawks colorway.

To add to the speckled effect, we’ve got a pair of Dunks- a low and a high, in the mix. I’m not quite sure if they glow in the dark, but my instincts say that they will look good in proper lighting. The low reminds me of their Dunk Low Notebooks they released last year. The color blocking on them as well are reminiscent of the Japan Dunk Pandas- well, minus the faux panda fur ofcourse. The Dunk Highs look a lot like the AM 90s I featured earlier. These Dunks can be purchased at other Nike stores as well. I’ve seen them at the Fort or at Glorietta too.

And last but certainly not the least, the Footscapes. Actually, the other two came out months before and I believe I was able to feature them already. The one listed right below is the third one to the puzzle. The black/grey/yellow version also carries the flywire technology making this re-release more than a retro. The Footscapes are actually popular in Japan. So guys, don’t sleep on these! These are actually cool! The sideways laces may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but at least it’s different, right?

There you have it folks. A whole slew of drops from the Swoosh. Look to find them all over town at various Nike Parks/Stadiums. Though if you want the fresher ones, do try to find them over at BHS or Trinoma. They seem to have the better ones in stock.

When a store is only open on Saturdays, they mean business. Last weekend, I decided to drop by the Store, located right beside MJ46 Center (www.mj46center.com). I got an email about a week ago about the Store and was intrigued when I saw they had What The Dunks? posted there.

The Store’s concept is quite similar to other consignment stores in other countries (Flight Club, Warped, etc.). Bring in the good stuff, and if they’re good enough for reselling, they’ll take your stuff in and sell it for you. And we’re not just talking about shoes here. Bags (for the ladies) as well as other accessories such as jackets (Jordan and SBs when I dropped by) are also on sale here. Whether they’re slightly used or brand new, the Store’s got some space for your goods.

Here’re a couple of kicks that made me salivate while checking the place out:

With the Hyperize and the Hyperdunk Philippines CW dropping in Manila, the AF1 Philippines is the most sought after one. guys, interested?

Ahh. the Osaka Dunks. Or the Doutonbori Dunks. These Highs were part of the Japan City Attack Pack. All the pairs from that pack were crazy. But when your shoe comes with a wooden box, then it’s legit with mad heat written all over it. Seersucker red stripes with the squid reppin’ the food of Osaka, how can you go wrong?

AJ VIs Olympics. Obviously MJ never wore these during the Barcelona Summer Games, but with the patent leather and the colors of the rings by the midsole, what’s not to like?

Nike Terminator Low Lux. Yup, these bad boys got snake skin and attitude to boot. Pretty snazzy and perfect for the lo-fi vibe everyone’s got these days. Hurry, there’s just one pair.

Nike SB x SBTG Dunk Lows. These Asia Exclusive SB collab of RoyaleFam/SBTG and Nike SB’s one of the more detailed SBs in the market. Prices have gone up for these Dunks. SBTG’s iconic detail around the toe box and around the upper make these must cops.

What the Dunk? That’s all you have to know. 1000 USD on most sites and Ebayers. These are legit. The best SBs all in one pair. Oh, and they don’t cost 1000 USD here at the Store. Call the Store and reserve them. It’s rare to find such beautiful shoe just waiting. Resellers, Collectors, Shoe Fiends, Freakers and Hypebeasts- you know the deal.

There are more shoes at the Gallery section of this site. Do check ‘em out. Just remember, the Store’s only open on Saturdays, from 12nn-8pm. Go ahead, give them a call. Reserve the pair/s. Get a bag for your lady while you’re at it. Once you start rockin’ em, just remember that the Store and Sole Movement’s got you covered.
