I’m finally getting around to posting the crazy weekend that was All-Star Weekend at NOLA. Although the weekend was crazy all over, New Orleans was on steroids. Think of any possible Air Jordan, Kobe, LeBron signature in production, it must’ve been on the feet of the people in the Big Easy. As the weekend was pretty piled up, I was only able to visit the Footaction turned Jordan Brand store on Sunday, and braved the store with hundreds of consumers wanting to grab a pair or two.
Part of Jordan Brand’s #TakeFlightNOLA campaign was to convert Footaction to a Jordan Brand retail space. The store was venue for the official release of the shoes that weekend. Lines were set up Friday through Sunday so as to keep things in order as they not only sold the All-Star pack, but a boatload of restocks (from Powder Blue IIIs, Gamma Blue and Bred XIs, and a bunch of other pairs). Like a Prada or LV store, I had to wait in line just to get in.
Upon entering, you’ll see JB run the whole gamut of gear- from shoes, jerseys, apparel, and accessories. They also set up an exclusive Jordan Brand Design Studio wherein you can customize laces and lace locks to your newly purchased Js. In the coming days, we’ll also feature the Jordan Flight Lab, which for me was the best brand installation that weekend.
