Mardi Gras season is officially over and with this year being extra busy with the NBA All-Star Weekend happening a week prior, you know that NOLA became heat central with all the special releases. We were at the Sneaker Politics pop-up during All-Star and caught a glimpse of their latest offering for the adidas Consortium program, using this year’s archived silhouette, the Gazelle.

Taking inspiration from the King Cake, a cake usually eaten during Mardi Gras season, the Gazelle takes on a cream-colored Primeknit upper interspersed with Mardi Gras’ colors – green, gold and purple. The gum bottoms are always a treat but also serve as the King Cake’s dough. To complete the look, gold accents are found on the lace tips as well as the co-branded tongue tabs. 2 weeks after the Sneaker Politics release, Consortium accounts across the globe are getting them today. Our very own Commonwealth has the shoe in store today, so make sure to drop by the soonest as they are available in very limited quantities.
