The elements shouldn’t be the problem during the summer, but in the PH, you never really know. We’ve been having wonky weather over the last few weeks and april showers are becoming more and more frequent. A couple of seasons ago, Converse released the Chuck II Shield, a weather-friendly variant of the latest Chuck Taylor All Star. This season’s Counter Climate edition ups the ante further, introducing Lycra into the mix.

Lycra, Lunarlon and welded micro suede uppers make the Chuck II Shield lightweight yet wet-ready. Converse removed the medial eyelets to help keep you dry, added a reflective pull tab heel counter for easy wearing, a padded gusseted tongue, and a Lunarlon sock liner for comfort. The Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Lycra is now available in three colorways – black, fresh cyan and ash grey, and retails for Php 4,250 at Converse stores nationwide.
