First Look: Sole Academy

Sole Academy finally opened their doors last Friday to the public and was well received by the students, friends and community surrounding the store. Boasting of key brands such as Nike, adidas, Vans, Converse, Puma, Asics and Palladium (to arrive Mid-October), the store looks real good with a brick and wood finish. All over the store, you can see displays, autographed memorabilia (including the MP Trainers, a Kiefer “Phenom” Ravena Kobe IV IDs, and Mike Silungan’s Rose 1.5s among others). The first floor features their lifestyle section, carrying the latest shoes, apparel and other gear from the brands. Sole Academy also houses Wipcaps, Jansport and Meister as well.

Moving up to the second floor of the shop, you’ll feel like you’re in a locker room, with wooden benches, racks, and sections showing their performance pairs. The latest basketball, running, and training pairs are available from select brands (more on this in the coming posts). You’ll also see Sole Academy’s logo by the stairs as well as their “Best in Class” tag right beside MJs shoe display (1-23). As they do house some school-based products, they can also do customization on such products. As Ateneo won their 4th straight championship in the UAAP, Sole Academy is offering up to 4 designs you can iron on to your Ateneo gear (best to check their Facebook page for more details).

Sole Academy definitely brings in the quality brands in, from Vans’ OTW and Hello Kitty line, PUMA’s Faas and retro runners (Easy Riders in various colors), Nike’s NSW and Performance line (more on this soon), as well as Asics- which I’ve mentioned and featured a number of times over the past couple of days. Do check the store out for yourself to get a better feel of the store and what they bring. The store is located at the corner of Katipunan avenue and Fabian De La Rosa Street (right behind the Regis Center, the bldg with BonChon and Fully Booked), and open from 11am-8pm. For more info, check them out on Facebook, follow them on twitter (@soleacademy) and online (www.soleacademy.net)

  1. the execution of their logo could’ve been better.
it looks more like a football club than an academy.

hoping to see more exclusive items especially on their Vans section.

@jtlag, the wingtips above as well as the black/white one you’re mentioning are available at Vans Trinoma.
