SEBAGO: TEST THE WATERS

We’ve been covering all sorts of footwear on the site over the past 3+ years and there are some brands which have stood the test of time, experience a resurgence in the industry or better yet thrive with emerging markets. Sebago (pronounced Se-bay-go, not Se-bah-go, though Ronnie Fieg says otherwise), has done all three over the past few years. It’s not that the brand ever left, but with a younger, stylish sect getting it in, the boat shoe is relevant once again.

Last week, Sebago Philippines had a refresher, if you will, how a handmade Sebago classic is regarded as a style icon of our era. Priding itself in using the best hand-sewn materials, the brand maintains a certain level of craftsmanship that sets them apart from the rest.
Not only have they generated interest with a younger audience, the brand worked together with key artists and influencers to come up with their Artisan Collection. NYC-based brand Vane, outdoor brand Filson, graffiti artist Stash and the industry’s current pied piper Ronnie Fieg all share the same value of quality and craftsmanship that goes to each and every pair.
Check out the photos from the event as well as the redesigned store space over at Greenbelt 3. You can also catch the videos below and learn more about Sebago and their rich history.
