What’s New: Reebok is set to release the Jurassic World Dominion Pack this week
After releasing the Looney Tunes collection last May and the Question Mid ‘Blue Toe‘ last month, Reebok is at it again, this time working with Universal their second Jurassic franchise footwear and apparel colleciton, this time inspired by the latest film – Jurassic World Dominion.
As a lead up to this year’s release, Reebok and Universal launched the Jurassic Park colleciton last year, celebrating the first flim in the franchise (Jurassic Park, 1993). This year’s pack takes inspiration from the latest film and pays homage to the bioengineering themes and dinosaurs new and old. What’s pretty cool about this collection is that it features glowing amber logos, a classified information label, and packaged in an amber-inspired box. Here’s a closer look at what’s dropping this week:
Classic Leather Ripple – Php 5,295
Through the course of the franchise, we’ve grown to love Blue, the Velociraptor. In the latest movie, we see her offspring, Beta. They both serve as inspiration for the Classic Leather Ripple. Blue’s stripe can be seen on the shoe’s vector while the window box and heel logos feature nods to both Blue and Beta. The shoes will be available in unisex sizing.
LX2200 – Php 5,895
If you’ve seen the film, the LX2200 takes cues from the bio-genetic coding facility – Biosyn Valley. DNA strands and codes are seen throughout, including a Reebok DNA strand in the window box, and a special tongue label to go with the marbled outsole. The LX2200 also comes in unisex sizing.
Club C Revenge – Php 5,295
Continuing with the theme, we get a Club C Revenge done in the colors Biosyn Genetics, the company that recreated the extinct animals. The shoe comes in a clean white upper with metallic hits. What’s cool about it is the rub-away reptillian upper of the shoe. The more you use the pair, the colors rub off to show another color altogether underneath. The Biosyn logo is found on the heel, as well as on the tongue and lace dubrae. The shoe retails for Php 5,295 and will be available in unisex sizing as well.
Zig Kinetica 2.5 – Php 7,295
One of the new dinosaurs seen in the film are the Atrociraptors – which now take the shape and form of the Zig Kinetica 2.5. Taking colors of the 4 dinosaurs, complete with a 3D puff print of their reptillian skin. The Zig Kinetica 2.5 will be available in unisex sizing as well.
Nano X2 Adventure – Php 7,895
While the shoe wasn’t available during our sneak peek, the Nano X2 Adventure is one of the best in the collection. With its survival lacing and paracord webbing, the shoe utilizes a ballistic nylon for its upper as well a pigmented gum outsole. The shoe also comes with a carabiner compass to get you through any sort of mess you get into in these. Just like the rest of the collection, the shoe comes in unisex sizing.
Men’s and Women’s apparel will also be available, featuring Blue’s scales or a dinosaur camo print. Graphic tees featuring the Jurassic World logo and Biosyn badge prints. The Reebok x Jurassic World Dominion collection will be available this Friday, August 26 on Sports Central stores (SM Makati, SM MOA, SM Aura, the Podium and SM Megamall) as well as sportcentral.ph.
