REEBOK CLASSIC: ALWAYS CLASSIC

There you go.

I’ve been doing Sole Movement for almost 10 years now and there were times that we would wait on brands to get over that hill or do something that would excite us. Over the last couple of years, Reebok has gone through…let’s just say the road less traveled. Sure, they’ve gone the fitness route with Crossfit and let go of their performance pairs, but one category that’s been flying under the radar is their Reebok Classic line. If you look closely, they’ve done some pretty serious catalog revival over the years. From the Pump Bringback, the Classic Leather, and several others, Reebok has definitely put in the work.

Now it’s time to put them on blast.

Earlier this week, Reebok Classic revealed its latest campaign that celebrates the brand’s most disruptive and authentic style pioneers, challenging them to step up to the global stage to define what ‘Always Classic’ means to them. The campaign unites Reebok Classic’s iconic silhouettes: the Freestyle Hi, Classic Leather, Club C and Workout Plus by capturing some of today’s most notable icons– Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, Rae Sremmurd, model Sharina Gutierrez, Teyana Taylor, Lil Yachty, graffiti artists Felipe Pantone and Sany and K-pop sensation Somi – all in their element.

With the brand’s heritage rooted in self-expression and embracing nonconformity, the campaign honors the brand’s longstanding commitment of pushing the boundaries, defying the status quo. The Always Classic campaign challenges people across the globe, to show what it means to be a Classic on their own terms.

“Our brand has a history of pushing boundaries and the Always Classic campaign is no different. It’s a modern celebration of pioneers, darers and authenticators who are reimagining what it means to be Classic on their own terms and are inviting everyone to do the same,” says Todd Krinsky, General Manager Reebok Classics.

The four silhouettes — dubbed the “Franchise Four” have their own unique heritage, personality and attitude. It’s pretty dope how Reebok was able to really put legs into their campaign to really bring their message into fruition. If you check out Reebok stores and stockists (think: Sole Academy), the latest Workout Plus is now available in store.
