When someone says Onitsuka Tiger, the Mexicos are usually the first shoe that comes to mind. But if you look at the brand’s storied archive, there are other pairs that are just as great, like the California 78 OG. The California was OTs first mesh type shoe back in 78 and pretty much became the staple during the jogging/running boom in the 80s. Aside from its leather/nylon mesh upper, OT placed a reflectorized patch on the heel, making the shoe serviceable even at night. Onitsuka Tiger brings the California 78 OG vintage back in two colorways- Red/Silver and Black/Gold this month. Other colorways are also available in store (Greenbelt 3, BHS, Shangri-La Mall, and SM Megamall) for 5,800 php.
