WITNESS to wheeling and dealing

Yesterday was a good day. LA booked their ticket to the finals, had time to go to the gym, traffic wasn’t a bitch and Nike BHS dropped the LeBron Witness VIs. I had no intentions of buying the pair so I literally dropped by the store to see what kind of heads LBJ dragged in for this.
A lot of the usual nike dudes were there, but mostly were LBJ fans that wanted to celebrate LeBron’s MVP year. As mentioned, people were in line since Thursday afternoon and just imagine- what if the Cavs lose today? How much would these shoes go for? Haha, I’m just playin. As of late, the shoes are going for about 350usd on ebay. If you’re not with it, sell it to some sucker and hopefully double your money.
One interesting thing that we were witness to was some on-the-spot wheeling and dealing for their spot on the line. One of the brothas in the line had 3 spots (meaning he had 2 other friends in line). His spot on the line assured him of decent sizes that would crush the hopes of the ones after him. Right then and there, he was able to get some dudes pay an additional 2k on top of the shoes to assure them of the coveted pair. After that was done, some other cats were offering their pair (a half size bigger) and some cash (say, 4 or 5k) for some other dude who had their exact size. It was fun to be a spectator and to experience what some heads would do to get their pair. Check out the picture below of the ruckus around the cashier for the shoe exchange. Commerce at its finest!
The shoe was relatively gone in 23 minutes. 2 pairs were left and I’m not sure if shorties were willing to part with their paper for LBJ’s MVP sleds. You can still check out Nike BHS to see if the pairs are still there.
