THE NIKE (LOGO) PROJECT

Goosebumps.

For design junkies, this exhibit will definitely give you goosebumps. This is the Nike Logo Project. Nike compiled a couple hundred or so logos Nike has created over the last 30 or so years and created this Periodic Tablesque/DNA of sorts chronicling the various sub-brands, campaigns, athlete logos, and key creations under the Swoosh.

There’s so much detail and thought put into each logo and more often than not these logos make or break the brand. Each logo is set up quite simple- Logo right smack at the center, Year and Logo name on the upper left, logo number on the top right, and campaign/category on the lower left. I enjoyed going over each and every logo, and it got me reminiscing from way back in the day when most of them first came out. Check out some shots from the exhibit and see how many you remember.

  1. Marts, by any chance was MP's logo there? Sentimental reasons, of course.

  4. Hey Tons, naw, unfortunately MP's wasn't on the wall. As per the brief, this doesn't cover the full Nike logo design library. If Nike did that, that would be one awesome book!
