The Nike Air Max 90/1 drops today

If you thought this whole sole swapping business just happened over the last few years, you thought wrong. Back in 1992, Nike actually took one of their most famous running shoes – the Air Max 1 – and replaced the midsoles with the AM90s’. We don’t know for sure if the guys over at the Swoosh were way ahead of the game back then or they just had trouble finding the mold for the Air Max 1. Either way, the few thousands they produced were instant gems that are etched into Air Max history.

Earlier this year, Nike decided to bring the casual hybrid back in time for Air Max Day 2018. It took quite a while for us to get our set in, but we’re pretty happy to see them on sales floor here today. The Nike Air Max 90/1 now comes in premium black leather with white hits found on the Swoosh, tongue, and heel. This classic rendition is definitely low-key amidst all the bright and colorful silhouettes we’ve seen as of late.

The Nike Air Max 90/1 is now available exclusively at Sole Academy, with the shoe retailing for Php 7,645.
