Yes, it’s been a while since I’ve been to Greenbelt 5. Now, I’ve been here 2 times in less than a week. There were a couple of hits and a couple that should’ve been out a long time ago. For some reason, they stocked on some AJ1 DMPs- yup, the same 60+ Pack that came out in July. So for everyone who lost out, it’s still available. Grab it. Now. They have the complete set of the Safari Pack Air Max 1s as well. The latest one was the Purple/White CW. Please be advised that I only take pictures of the shoes that aren’t available at other stores, at least you know what’s exclusive to each. Ofcourse, most Nike/Adidas/Puma stores carry pretty much the same stuff, save for some special pairs. Before I go on and feature the great stuff over at HideOut, the AJ12 Rising Sun is now available at Nike GB3. Not that I’m getting one, I just wanted everyone to know. Now, for this month’s new ish brought to you by our friends at HideOut.

Air Force 1 Nitro Microphone Underground. This collaboration is basically one with Nike and the Japanese Hip Hop group Nitro Microphone Underground. I’ll admit that I haven’t heard their music before but their collab with Nike pretty intense. This shoe commemorates their 10th year in the industry. The tongues on these bad boys have 1999 on one and 2009 on the other shoe. Aside from the special leather and gold toe box, this AF1 also has the special Gold Plated tag and gold lace covers (is that what you call them? I have no idea). They do come at a hefty price (9,995 Php) but you’re sure to be the only one at your size to have them on.
Dunk High Premium “Athletics East” Speckling Volt. Keeping true to the whole East/West/South/North campaign, Here’s another special Dunk for the speckled lovers. Nike’s been on the whole speckle/safari/printed look the past year. This is a nice pair, but I have to start thinking of pairs that are age appropriate for me. Moving on…

Bling Bling! This has got to be the year with the most Dunk Highs I’ve seen. Nike’s going all out with the non-traditional colorways. This Bling Pack comes in two colors (there’s a third one but not yet available)- Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver. Theyr’e great and I’m sure the cool cats are gonna wear these to the club. Unless you want to grab the attention of dudes at the mall.

A couple of months back HideOut also dropped the famed Tennis Pack- a Dunk High, an AF1. This is their long lost cousin, coming in 2 months late. This edition comes in with the candy colors. I actually like them better than the first two that came out, the colors are funkier but will definitely look better with jeans and a clean shirt. The Yellow/Blue outline mimicks the OG Michigan colorway but the green and orange mashup gives the shoe a totally different look altogether. I can see school kids wearin’ em. If I see one of my bosses rock this, well, it’s good to know they have taste (for a kid).

Alright, time for something more age appropriate. Here’s the Air Royal Mid QS. This is actual a relative of the Air Elan, but this is much more to the tune of the late 20s and up. This shoe seems like a hybrid of a sneaker and a work boot. With the Red Wing-type laces, premium leathers and contrast stitching, why not right? As much as I’ve been steering clear of brown boots, this one can hold it down. The black one too, though I think I’d change the laces for a cleaner look. Come to think of it, these can go head to head with Adidas’ ObyO collection! KZK, meet your match. The Royal Mids come with a special bag to keep ‘em cozy and clean.

I grew up on Air Trainers (aka Bo Jacksons). Now, my clear cut favorites this year were the OG AM1s. When Nike came out with the Air Maxim, I didn’t know what to make of it. It was like the classic but only made for the modern foot. It was a great idea but somehow I felt like they made too many shortcuts to get to the final product. I’m still thinking of getting the Air Maxims but this one, well this one, is on the fence. The Air Maxim Trainer NDs are just something else. First of all, the strap’s pretty useless. The only thing I like about this would be the colorway. That’s it. I don’t think they even look right. If I were to buy an Air Maxim, it would be the one coming out next month (here’s a clue- its past collabs with the swoosh were all hits). I’m sure that’ll be a pricey one but I believe they’re worth it. As for these, I’ll pass. I don’t think they’ll ever blow up to Infrared status anytime soon.

There’s actually one more shoe that dropped (actually they dropped yesterday alongside the silver blingers) over at HideOut. I’ll do a totally separate post for that one. It’s time to bring out the Halloween Limiteds for next weekend yo!
