Ready For 2.0?

Posted on Feb 14, 2020 in Nike

We’re definitely in for an automated future. After the success of the Adapt BB 1.0 last year, Nike decided to bless us with the 2.0 in time for All-Star Weekend.

While most may think it’s just a rehash and redesign of the 1.0, the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 packs a lot of punch with the innovations added to the sneaker.

Upon wearing, one will notice and feel the different in the forefoot. Nike added an articulated Air Zoom Turbo pad, similar to what was used on the Kyrie 5 and 6. Once you start moving in the shoe, you’ll notice the reconfigured midsole stack height. This improves the transition from heel to toe with every movement.

Nike mentioned that a lot of the feedback with the 1.0 was the difficulty in trying them on. The Adapt BB 2.0 – sans the Flyknit shroud – is easier to wear with the wider collar and the stretchable ballistic mesh. The change in the upper also made the foot feel more secure as it contains the foot much better than its predecessor.

Lastly, there’s the huge pixelated Swoosh on the upper. Coupled with the exposed lacing system, the Adapt BB 2.0 definitely looks much more futuristic than the 1.0 The retooled TPU heel counter adds to the futuristic look, but also helps in stabilizing the foot for a much more comfortable ride.

The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 officially drops this Sunday, February 16. Titan offered the shoe via in-store electronic raffle earlier today. Nike Park also offered the pairs to their VIP clientele. The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 retails for Php 17,495 (the shoe will also be available via nike.com/ph ata a later date).
