Nike’s making the AF-1 a year-round silhouette

Posted on Jul 29, 2019 in Nike

The Nike Air Force 1 has been around for almost 40 years and it continues to cement its status as one of the most iconic silhouettes among Nike’s rich archives. Whether its the Highs, Lows or the Mids, the Air Force 1 is no longer considered a Holiday/Summer release. Over the last few years, the Nike Air Force 1 has expanded its range to several iterations, from Flyknit-based uppers, Lunarlon-equipped midsoles or even deconstructed to fit the Abloh-esque mold. This season, Nike Sportswear adds a couple more pairs, this time with a unique take on the iconic hoop shoe.

The new Air Force 1 ’07 LV8 comes in a two-tone variant, with tonal toe and middle panels with the Swoosh and heel panels done in white. A third color provides the break on the upper, with a mini Swoosh on the quarter for added detail. The tongue and heel labels are also updated from the iconic AF-1; a ‘Team Sports’ label is stitched on to the tongue and the block ‘Nike Air’ logo is pressed on to the shoe’s heel. Two colorways are currently available (Black/White and Dark Sulfur/White). But the best thing about this sneaker is the price point. The Nike Air Force 1 ’07 LV8 stays affordable with the Php 4,995 price tag. As shared a few weeks back, the shoe is now available at the Athlete’s Foot, and most recently at Capital (Glorietta, SM Aura) and Sole Academy (BGC).
