Nike unveils the Air Zoom Pegasus 36

Posted on Jun 11, 2019 in Nike

Everybody seems to be happy with last year’s edition of the Air Pegasus, the Air Pegasus 35. This June, Nike upgrades their best-selling running with updates on the upper as it provides a better overall fit and comfort. The Air Zoom Pegasus 36 features an engineered mesh upper with strategic ares for better breathability across high-heat areas (forefoot and arch).

Nike’s champion runners such as Joan Benoit Samuelson to Eliud Kipchoge have used the Pegasus as part of their traning. The new shoe features a slimmer heel collar and tongue, reducing bulk for a more comfortable and conforming fit. Despite the minimal upper, the exposed Flywire cables provide the snug fit along the midfoot area. When Nike introduced the first Pegasus back in 1983, the goal was to make it ‘the shoe’ for every runner.

To break it down, here’s what makes this shoe worth picking up:

  • Full-length Zoom Air unit in the midsoe for a smooth, responsive ride
  • Cushlon foam encasing the Zoom Air unit to provide firm yet responsive cushioning
  • Waffle pistons on the outsole that help absorb impact and multi-surface traction
  • A heel collar that tapers away around the Achilles tendon

If the champion athletes like Samuelson and Kipchoge use it for training, you should too. The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 retails for Php 6,295 and is now available at Nike Park (UPTC, ATC, Glorietta, Greenbelt 3, Fort, Podium, North Triangle, Circuit, Robinsons Ermita, Eastwood, Festival Mall, Ayala Feliz, Ayala Center Cebu, Robinsons Galleria, Gateway, Fairview Terraces, SM Fairview, Limketkai Mall CDO, and The District Imus) and Nike Forum (Harbor Point and Robinsons Magnolia). The all-new Air Zoom Pegasus 36 comes in three new colorways: Bio Beige, Black Thunder, and Electric Green.
