Nike unearths an Air Force 1 from ’96

Posted on May 21, 2019 in Nike

Is it just me or is snakeskin officially back? To be honest, they never really went away, but I guess we usually relate snakeskin to more luxurious items when used on footwear or other accessories. Back in the 90s, Nike dabbled into using snakeskin for a bunch of silhouettes. One such piece would be the Air Force 1.

Dubbed as the ‘Python Snake’ or ‘Ivory Snake’, the snake-skinned Swoosh makes its return for the first time since ’96. No over-the-top execution, but classy nonetheless. The Air Force 1 comes in all-white, with contrasting materials on the tongue, Swoosh and heel counter.

If you’re feeling the ’96 classic, the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Python Snake’ is set to drop tomorrow, May 22nd, at Sole Academy, Commonwealth and Titan and will retail for Php 7,645. Make sure to drop by their stores before they’re all gone. Do note that the shoe also comes with a pair of NSW crew socks with the snakeskin print.
