Nike takes inspiration from Kyrie Irving’s 2016 NBA Finals masterpiece

Posted on Apr 24, 2018 in Nike

2 for 2? Nike Basketball drops another Kyrie 4 on our laps on the same day they released the Kyrie 4 “Easter”. With the colors closely resembling today’s release, Nike takes inspiration from a game Irving played 2 years ago during the NBA Finals.

For those who can’t remember, Irving scored 41 points in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, keeping the Cavs’ hopes alive as they fought elimination en route to a dramatic Finals finish and their first ever Championship. The Kyrie 4 takes on a similar color blocking as one of the previous releases but with bright crimson accents on the Flywire found at the midfoot. A brick graphic is found at the heel, apparently representing the “bricks” he shot prior to this memorable game and paisley lining embellishes the shoe’s sock for that premium look and feel.

The Nike Kyrie 4 “41 for the Ages” is now available at all Titan stores, with the shoe retailing for Php 6,295.
