For those who know me, they know my sneaker roots are split between Js and Air Maxes. Tomorrow is Air Max Day. When Tinker and Nike unleashed the Air Max 1 back in 1987, no one really had an idea what kind of impact the shoe or the tech would mean to the brand and the sneaker industry. 29 years later, we’re still wearing our Air. Just like these guys.
In celebration for this year’s Air Max Day, Nike got together with a couple of collectors from all over the world that look to the Air Max as a way of life, an obsession, a form of self-expression. Some have amassed thousands of Air Max silhouettes, while others possess some of the rarest collaborations ever released. No matter what their collections look like, they all have one thing in common: a deep passion for Visible Air.
Air Max Day is tomorrow, March 26. Celebrate and #WearYourAir.
