Nike releases another DNA CH.1 this week
With March being Air Max month, Nike Sportswear releases another DNA CH.1 pack featuring two of Tinker Hatfield’s greatest silhouettes. Tinker’s Air Max 1 and the Air Huarache released four years apart but definitely represent key moments in sneaker history – from the visible Air unit to the neoprene upper. Similar to the first DNA CH.1 Pack, Nike switches their iconic colors for each other, bringing the Huarache’s ‘Purple Punch’ to the Air Max 1 and the OG ‘Sport Blue’ colors to the Air Huarache.
The Air Max 1 ‘Purple Punch’ tries to echo the Air Huarache’s color blocking, with more purple hues by the heel, similar to the Huarache’s rubber heel. On the other side, the Air Huarache sports a similar color blocking as the Air Max 1 OG, with the Sport Blue lording over the mudguard and the midfoot underlays, going all the way to the plastic heel. While the first DNA CH.1 set was sold as a pack, fans can purchase each pair separately when they drop this weekend.
The Air Max ‘Purple Punch’ and Air Huarache ‘Sport Blue’ each retail for Php 7,645 and drops this Friday, March 13 via Nike.com/ph. The shoe should also be available at select Nike doors as well. Check out the official photos below of the upcoming release:
