87 was a good year. Not so sure about wine or the economic state, but I’d like to think 1987 is an important point (if not a turning point) in the sneaker industry. With the Swoosh alone, Nike released Tinker’s creations– the Air Jordan III and the faux elephant print, the Air Max 1, and the Air Safari. It’s been 25 years for these three pairs since and we’ve seen a lot of Air Safaris and variations of it drop in celebration of this momentous occasion (Nike, you’re still not off the hook- you need to drop a couple of good set of AM1s now, not S/S2013). Here’s a set that surfaced in the region, and now available at Sole Academy, the Nike Lunar Safari Fuse+.

Instead of the OG leather upper, Nike Sportswear uses Hyperfuse on the upper and Lunarlon soles for better cushioning and shock absorption. It’s also Nike+ powered making it a great companion for your workout. Two colorways are now available in store- Black/Anthracite-Natural Grey-Total Orange and Black/Anthracite-Natural Grey-Dynamic Blue- for 4,995 php. Pick up one today as they are limited in quantities.
