Nike Kobe A.D. Mid ‘Pure Platinum’

Posted on Jan 12, 2018 in Nike

As much as I can’t accept it, but the Kobe signature series is doing quite well even after Bryant’s exit from the Association. It “worked” for MJ and the Answer (although only a couple of the Question/Answer pairs really did well post-retirement), and it seems that it’s doing well for Kobe. After releasing the Kobe A.D. last year and the updated Kobe A.D. Mid during the summer of 2017, we’re getting a new colorway for the Kobe A.D. Mid tomorrow. The shoe is done with a tonal Pure Platinum upper, with several details pertaining to Bryant’s career. We’re not fully sure as to what the strikes on the heel pertain to, but we’re guessing they’re alluding to the career achievements of Bryant over the last two decades — the five strikes on the inner right tongue could signify Kobe’s 5 championships with the Lakers, while the 16 slashes on the left heel could pertain to the Lakers’ 16 championships.

We’re hoping the Kobe fans out there tell us what this means, but you can definitely bring them home tomorrow. The Nike Kobe A.D. Mid ‘Pure Platinum’ drops tomorrow, January 13, at select Titan doors- Fort, Vertis, Conrad, Alabang, Shangri-la, UPTC, G5, Circuit, and Titan22.com. The shoe retails for Php 8,095.
