Although we do love our NBA, true basketball fans have March circled on their calendars. They’re allanticipating the biggest dance heading into summer – March Madness. The NCAA Tournament started last Friday and will run all the way to the first Monday of April. This is so big that the NBA doesn’t schedule any games to make way for the National Championship game. As for a lot of these collegians, this may be their one shining moment, where they prove to be a future star or get that small window to upset the crowd favorite.
With all these memorable moments, instant classics, Nike Basketball was inspired to create a signature collection exemplifying that time-to-shine mindset. As we have seen the PG 1 release during the week after All-Star, the collection aslo includes the Kyrie 3 and the KD 9 Elite. The pack comes in white, black and grey, with the iridescent accents providing that pop, that flare to make the shoe stand out.
This will be the first colorway for the KD 9 Elite, coming in a dark grey tonal piece. The Elite edition features Flyknit while retaining full-length visible Zoom. One obvious addition to the shoe is the one-piece stretch collar that goes up until the ankles for support. Another improvement made on the Elite version to withstand higher intensity games can be seen in the exposed cables from the bottom part of the shoe that go up until the laces strategically placed to offer support precisely where it’s needed for lockdown support. Like the 9, the shoe is all about keeping your foot in check with every stride and rid you of any other distractions while playing the game. The Nike KD 9 Elite ‘ Time to Shine’ retails for Php 7,645.
