Nike introduces the Air Max 270 React

Posted on Jul 7, 2019 in Nike

Earlier this month, Nike Sportswear officially unveiled their latest Air Max silhouette, the Air Max 270 React. Ever since Nike released the Air Max 270 in 2018, the shoe’s become one of the new staples for the greater majority of the sneaker-wearing public. After creating several colorways and changes to the shoe’s upper, NIke added thebrand’s most resilient foam, Nike React, to the 270.

The addition of the Nike React foam provides a smoother transition from heel to forefoot and energetic sculpting. One other notable aesthetic of the Air Max 270 React is its upper. Instead of your usual cut-and-sew design, Nike layered no-sew materials together, similar to what they did with the React Element 87. The bar tack technique creates a floating aesthetic, which creates so many other visual expressions for the Air Max 270 React.

A Color Story

For the Air Max 270 React’s initial release, each pair shares a consistent foundation in art and design history. For the shoe’s leading colorway, Nike celebrates the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus by recalling the school’s formal studies of asymmetrical balance. Other colorways in the collection focus on geometric compositions, mid-century inspired color blocking and many others.

While the shoe dropped globally last Thursday, we’ve yet to get an official release date for the PH. The Nike Air Max 270 React retails for Php 7,645. The shoe will be available at Nike Park, Sole Academy, the Athlete’s Foot and select Sports Central outlets.
