Nike Basketball unveiled their BHM 2020 PEs

Posted on Jan 18, 2020 in Nike

Aside from Christmas, All-Star Weekend, and the Playoffs, Nike Basketball has made February an important month in their sneaker calendar. Over the last couple of years, Nike Basketball has celebrated Black History Month and 2020 is none different. Kicking things off with MLK Day next week, Nike just unveiled their latest PEs for Kevin Durant, Paul George, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The 2020 BHM collection takes inspiration from early 90s street style as well as African textiles. The LEBRON XVII goes for a navy and multi-color Battleknit upper while the Kyrie 6 for varying hues of blue, orange, red, and yellow. Giannis’ Zoom Freak 1 also uses navy for its upper, but complemented by light teal and a multi-colored reverse Swoosh. We are digging the KD12 and it’s MA-1 Flight Jacket-esque color blocking, while the PG4 takes on more ACG-type colors. To round things out, all five pairs feature gum outsoles.

As they are PEs, we’re not quite sure if these end as actual player exclusives, meaning they might not be available for the public. Expect to see these pairs on court beginning January 20.
