Nike and Kyrie release another SB-inspired Kyrie this Halloween

Posted on Oct 28, 2018 in Nike

Kyrie Irving loves to skate. Dude used to skate way back when he was growing up in New Jersey. Nike Basketball took that to heart and started releasing SB-inspired colorways for Kyrie (remember the Lobster 4s during the Playoffs?). As we hit another holiday this week, Nike is bringing back another popular SB colorway for Irving’s signature shoe.

Back in 2006, Nike SB released the Day of the Dunk SB Lows. Taking inspiration from Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Nike decided to bring the design back, this time for Kyrie’s sneaker. The Kyrie 4 takes the same color blocking and aesthetics from the Dunk SB. Even the skeletons found on the shoe’s clear outsoles are seen on this rendition of the DOTDs. The new sneaker represents a celebration of life to honor the colorful legacies, stories, and spirits of those who have come before him. Kyrie actually wore the shoe last Friday during their game against the OKC Thunder. Earlier today, UP’s Juan Gomez de Liano sported the limited edition pair in time for their game against the Adamson Soaring Falcons.

The Nike Kyrie 4 ‘Day of the Dead’ drops this Tuesday exclusively at Titan in very limited quantities. The shoe, retailing for Php 6,295, will be available via Electronic Raffle. Make sure to sign up before 8pm today.
