Nike and Concepts come up with a special edition Kyrie 5 for Christmas

Posted on Dec 26, 2018 in Nike

With the Kyrie 5 being the holiday sneaker for Nike Basketball, we’ve seen several colorways pop up over the last few weeks. After debuting them at the start of the season, Nike links with Massachusetts-base boutique Concepts for a special rendition of the KYRIE 5. We briefly saw them during Kyrie’s sneaker shopping episode and these are finally getting a wider distribution this Christmas.

Dubbed as the KYRIE 5 ‘Ikhet’, the new sneaker features hieroglyphics and other Egyptian marks, all taken inspiration from Irving’s all-seeing eye tattoo and his fascination with ancient Egypt’s culture. The sand-hued upper represents the sands of the Egyptian Desert, while the red tongue is tied to the Sphinx’ nose. The purple outsole is taken from the color of the sunset against the pyramids.

The Nike KYRIE 5 x Concepts EP ‘Ikhet’ drops December 26 at Titan. Expect to see them on Kyrie’s feet during the Christmas Day Game as the Celts host the streaking Philadelphia 76ers. The KYRIE 5 ‘Ikhet’ retails for Php 7,195 sold out quick via the online store and will be available at Titan’s Fort store today.
