During the offseason, a lot of the NBA players run special basketball camps at the grassroots level. A couple of weeks back, we had Celtic Rajon Rondo here in Manila conduct his own mini-camp with the top High School and College players. Most players do it to really give back to the sport and their city, hoping to develop the next hoop sensation. Nike Basketball along with Amar’e Stoudemire ran the Skills Academy in Chicago a couple of months back, catering to the top high school and college big men in the area.
