Manny x Nike: Air Trainer 1

We all know that Manny Pacquiao is one of the key athletes repping Nike. To help him prepare for the War of the Worlds this May 2 (May 3 Manila), Nike has created a special edition of its newest innovation, the Nike Trainer 1. Manny will be one of the world’s first athletes to wear the shoe.
The special edition Trainer 1 bears Pacquiao’s identity crest, a distinctive Filipino sockliner marked with a Philippine eagle graphic and the May 2, 2009 date on the tongue. Like other special edition sneakers by Nike, the shoe will be packaged in its own themed shoe box.
Though these look like Bo Jackson’s joints from around the way, the Trainer 1 is a product of over 2 decades of inspiration and sneaker knowledge. The shoe is equipped with Nike’s DiamondFLX and Max Air technologies, developed to support multi-directional movements and provide superior protection while maintaining premium performance. Made from lightweight synthetics that provide superior protection, the Nike Trainer 1 provides durability and cushioning that speaks volumes about the future of Nike Training and the athletes who passionately represent it.

Here’s what you’ve been waiting for. 49 pairs will be on sale for his projected 49th win. On May 2, starting 12:00 noon, fans and sneaker lovers alike will have a chance to purchase the Manny Pacquiao PE Trainer 1 for Php 5,209 at the Manny Pacquiao pop-up store, Magnet Cafe, Bonifacio High Street. Limited pairs (and I believe this when they say this) will also be made available at Nike Park BHS on May 3. In addition to the Trainer 1, Nike has created a special tee for the upcoming fight.
The new Manny shirt bears the logotype ‘Team Pacquiao’ in front, with a Phili
ppine eagle graphic at the back. The tee is symbolic of the national support behind their hero.
The tee is available in black and grey in Nike stores nationwide. A limited number of 2009 Team Pacquiao Windrunners, Manny Pacquiao Southpaw and Wild Card Gym tees are also available exclusively at the Manny Pacquiao pop up store. 20 lucky fans can get a chance to purchase the Windrunners by logging on to www.mannypacquiao.ph.
