LeBron takes inspiration from the Infrared VI

Posted on Jan 20, 2020 in Nike

Imitation is the best form of flattery. In the world of sneakers, this holds true, too. Earlier today, we featured the KYRIE 6 ‘Bred’, obviously taking design cues from MJ’s Bred IVs. Nike Basketball continues to take design cues for their other signature athlete, LeBron James.

When Nike Basketball announced they’ll be doing special graphics on the tongue for the 17, they weren’t kidding. Across the releases, we’ve seen different designs tying everything together. For this weekend’s release, the LeBron 17 takes inspiration from Black/Infrared Air Jordan VI. The black and red Knitposite may seem basic for a LeBron colorway, but they added the red ‘Dunkman’ lacelock, pretty much like the ones you see on the 6s. The tongue also features LeBron’s 23 and LeBron’s name written similar to the Flight logo from the 90s.

The Nike LEBRON XVII ‘Black/University Red’ is now available at Titan Fort/Vertis/UPTC for Php 9,895.
