LeBron pays homage to OSU with this special make up of the LeBron 16 Low

Posted on May 1, 2019 in Nike

After closing out April with the Remix, Nike Basketball and LeBron James welcomes May with a tribute to Bron’s would-be college, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

We all know that James skipped college and went straight to the Pros back in 2003. But if there was any intent to go to college first, he would’ve stayed home in Ohio and played for the Buckeyes. To honor his hometown Buckeyes, Nike creates a LeBron 16 Low done in OSU’s colors, mainly grey for the upper with white and red accents found throughout. A marbled outsole adds some detail to the shoe as well as the Nike Air logo on the heel vs the LeBron Lion logo. To finish things off, the shoe’s outsole features the date “1/3/2003” and “31-24” which is a nod to the date and score of the Buckeyes’ football championship back in 2003.

The Nike LeBron 16 Low ‘OSU’ is now available at Titan, Nike Forum, the Athlete’s Foot and Nike Park, with the shoe retailing for Php 8,095.
