Kyrie Irving collabs with Bandulu Street Couture for this Kyrie 5 PE

Posted on Jul 27, 2019 in Nike

With the 2018-2019 NBA Season in the books, we have a couple of takeaways surrounding All-Star guard Kyrie Irving and his season:

  1. Kyrie’s got skills and it can only get better with the talent surrounding him in Brooklyn. A lot may argue that he had the potential to lead the young Celtics to the Promised Land, but there were just too many cooks in the kitchen. Brooklyn’s got a solid young core peppered with solid veterans that’ll only complement his game (wait ’til they get KD back from the IL).
  2. Kyrie’s figured out the streetwear collab game to a t. Kyrie debuted his 5th signature with Taco Bennet, then followed it up with the Concepts collab during the holidays. By the All-Star Weekend, the ROKIT collab dropped, which was then followed up by a bunch of SB-inspired colorways. As we are nearing the end of the Kyrie 5 cycle, Kyrie adds another pair to the mix with their collab with Bandulu Street Couture.

Decorated by artist Pat Peltier, the Kyrie 5 plays canvas to an embroidery that resembles paint splatters. Using red, olive, beige, lavender and blue stitching are found throughout the shoe’s upper. The shoe’s tongue features Kyrie’s logo as well as the Bandulu branding. Kyrie’s name is stitched on the flytrap lace shroud while ‘Nike Basketball’ (left) and ‘Bandulu Street Couture’ (right) are embroidered on each heel, but done in Bandulu’s classic font styling. The red outsole completes the shoe’s look, tying all the accents as it complements the overall shoe build.

The Bandulu Street Couture x Nike Kyrie 5 PE is now available at select Nike Park stores (now available at Nike Park UPTC) and is set to drop at select Titan stores and the Athlete’s Foot (Glorietta, Alabang, Rockwell, Shangri-la, Virra Mall) soon. The shoe retails for Php 6,745.
