I was at Kota Kinabalu last weekend and let me tell you now– don’t expect it to be a hot bed of sneakers. This AF1 low was the best looking one I saw there. Sure there are Cassette Playas, Flu Games and other kicks  available, but nothing to write home about. We actually have more stuff. This was the only one I saw that’s not available here. I’m sure KL’s got sic sneaker joints but KK’s got nothing to offer. The beach and the rafting was great, but sneakers were few and far between.

I wonder if you would have liked them more if someone had told you they were DJ Clark Kent-designed joints.

East/West rivalry pack, winter edition.. with 0.44 sticky rubber outsole.

But yeah.. not exactly the best looking pair of shoes in the world. Nike is really good at marketing their stuff with artist/city/regional tie-ins though.

well yeah. they are DJ Clark Kents right? But I was never an AF1 kinda guy. So regardless the hype, I’d pass on them. Yes it had ostrich leather, yes it had the sticky rubber, but like I said, they didn’t do anything for me.

The whole rivalry pack was a solid effort though some pairs were pushing it. Premium leathers made this joint the best looking one. Clark Kent’s got so many Nike releases last year I lost track (better yet, never really took notice). But thanks for the additional input jath!
