Keep Running: Nike just released the React Infinity Run

Posted on Jan 20, 2020 in Nike

Wouldn’t you want to just keep on running? But with every great run, you also run the risk of injury. From creating better runners to hopefully reduce that risk, Nike recently introduced the React Infinity Run.

While the Zoom Vaporfly 4% was all about speed, React-based silhouettes offered a soft, resilient, but lightweight and durable sneaker. The Nike React Infinity Run aims to merge both benefits into one – a shoe that offers amazing stability and a better runner from traditional motion-control silhouettes.

What you’ll notice with Infinity Run is that it comes with a wider midsole. Just like the 4%, the Infinity Run comes with a rocker-like bottom that aids in a more fluid transition from foot strike to toe off. This gives off a more natural forward motion, helping the runner run easier. The wider base also helps, as it gently guides the foot in a smooth, straight line, reducing side-to-side wobbling and movement.

With all these benefits rolled into one, the Nike React Infinity Run is ideal for the king of runs that don’t into the silo of interval or tempo, long run or race. The shoe matches best to base-run days, middle-mileage runs. When a study by the British Columbia Sports Medicine Research Foundation compared the Nike React Infinity Run to the Nike Structure 22 (a motion control shoe), runners wearing the Infinity Run had a 52% lower injury rate than the Structure 22. These same runners also felt less pain in their knees and feet.

The Nike React Infinity Run FK will be made available exclusively to Nike Members on January 23 at Nike Park Mall of Asia, with the shoe retailing for Php 8,095.
