Instant Go: the Nike Epic React Flyknit

Posted on Feb 21, 2018 in Nike

The long wait is over. After unveiling the running shoe last month, the Nike Epic React Flyknit is finally hitting stores tomorrow, February 22nd. Nike’s been known to drive innovation in footwear ever since they introduced Air back in the 70s, and we’re about to experience something really epic (pun intended) with the Epic React Flyknit. We’ve seen Flyknit uppers on sneakers but the true star here is the React cushioning that’s softer, lighter, springier and more durable than ever. The newly developed Foam may seem like any other Nike has used before, but it’s softer and taller, avoiding for it to “bottom out” like the others.

With the help of data, Nike decided to create a one-piece foam to deliver cushioning and support in the specific areas during one’s run and reducing materials that aren’t needed to keep the weight to a minimum. We’ll definitely know more once we get to use the shoe on wear tests over the next few weeks.

The Nike Epic React Flyknit drops tomorrow, February 22nd and will retail for Php 7,645. The shoe will come in four colorways – Black/Dark Grey-Pure Platinum, White/Racer Blue-Pink Blast, College Navy/Racer Blue, and Wolf Grey/Cool Grey. Colorways will vary with the stores but you can pick them up at Nike (Fort, UPTC, Glorietta), Capital (Uptown Mall BGC), The Athlete’s Foot (Glorietta), and Intersport (Vertis).
