Some kicks are myths. Some kicks we just hear of, but we never get to see in person. And for some, that’s what we call the Holy Grail. We try our darndest to find, whether it be via the internet or through travels abroad (or dreaded resellers), Holy Grails are what makes our collection special. But for some, Holy Grails are achievable. As adidas would put it, Impossible Is Nothing.

Jave Evangelista, Crate’s proprietor , has some of dopest kicks around. Most of them we just hear about, but he’s got some of them right at the store. Just so you know,  this is not his whole collection. Most of his stuff’s at home. But the stuff you want to see, it’s here. From Yeezys, Supremes, the whole Supreme x Nike SB Bruin line, the Puma x UNDFTD line, Dunkles, Tiffanys and what have you, he’s got ‘em. I remember having a chat with Jave early this year about his own Holy Grails. He wanted the Nike SB Supreme Dunks (lows, that is) so bad. But he also told me that he’ll soon  get it.  Last Saturday, when I dropped by, it was there, staring right back at me.

It’s nice to talk shop to real sneakerheads. I thought I knew a lot, but when you talk shop with the real heads, you just sit there amazed at what else is out there that you haven’t peeped. I’m sure you’re all wondering- are these saran wrapped goodies for sale? Sorry folks, these aren’t. But let Jave be a lesson to us- if you will it, you will one day get your Holy Grail. You’l know it when it happens; it’ll be the best day of your life as a sneaker fiend.
