Here’s hoping we get the Nike x sacai LDWaffle and Blazer Mid this season

Finally.

After months of waiting, we’re finally getting an actual release date. Ever since sacai’s Chitose Abe debuted the Nike x sacai LDWaffle and Blazer Mid during sacai’s SS19 show in Paris last year, everybody’s been wanting to hopefully get a pair. Throughout her creations, it’s always been about something new and unexpected. Her designs balance two ideas: stability and betrayal. The Nike x sacai LDWaffle exhibits this clearly, as she creates a hybrid sneaker from two classic silhouettes. The “betrayal” comes in the form of the doubled elements, such as the double stitched Swoosh, tongues, and elongated midsoles. “Stability” is seen through the retro color blocking of both silhouettes.

The Nike x sacai LDWaffle and Nike x sacai Blazer Mid release globally on May 16 and May 30 across select Nike stores and retailers. Although none of the PH retailers are listed, we’re hoping for a miracle that we get a chance to pick these up.
