FORCE IS NOW: Nike releases Air Force 1s for Everyone

Posted on Oct 8, 2018 in Nike

We’re 1 week into October and you know what that means — it’s FORCE SZN.

Ever since they debuted in 1982, the Air Force 1 has crossed over from court to street and celebrated ever since. The iconic silhouette withstood the test of time as people pride itself for its toughness and resilience. As Nike continues to listen to their consumer, the Air Force 1 has taken several design tweaks while keeping it true to what it stands for. This season, Nike brings a boatload of AF1s for everyone. From the Essentials, to the Utility Pack, the NBA Pack, and the Reimagined line, the Air Force 1 is here to stay.

AIR FORCE 1 ’07

The classic is back in both white and black. The Air Force 1 ’07 retails for Php 4,795 and is now available at Nike Park and Nike Forum.

UTILITY

Earlier in the month, Nike also introduced us to the Air Force 1 Utitlity QS. Instead of the classic lacing system, the AF1 Utility comes with a midfoot strap with a Fidlock magnetic buckle (the same one on the Komyuter). The shoe also features a pull tab at the heel and extended tongue. Although those come in limited quantities, there’s also the Air Force 1 ’07 LV8 Sport. The sneaker features overbranding across the entire upper. From pull tabs, multiple Swooshes and labels, this follows the ongoing trend we’ve seen on other Nike silhouettes. You can get the Air Force 1 Utility QS at Titan and Commonwealth as it retails for Php 7,195. The Air Force 1 ’07 LV8 Sport retails for Php 4,995, now available at Nike Park, Nike Forum and the Athlete’s Foot.

NBA Pack

It’s no coincidence that the NBA season and the Air Force 1s happen on the same month. With its link to basketball, it makes perfect sense to run with an NBA collection in time for the season. Taking on several of the more popular team’s colors, we get five (5) new Air Force 1s in Lows and Highs. Aside from the slick design, Nike replaces the classic leather backtab  with a lenticular colorshifting one, with the the AF1 logo shifting to the NBA logoman. The same material is also use on the Swoosh. The Air Force 1 Low ‘NBA’ retails for Php 4,995 while the AF1 High ‘NBA’ is priced slightly higher at Php 5,595.

The Force is Female

Last and most definitely not the lease is the new collection for the 1 Reimagined. Released earlier this year, the fresh new take on the Air Force 1 for Women now comes in new colors for the AF1 Sage and Jester. Each serves to celebrate the DNA of the AF1, and also give the shoe a jolt. While we have seen the Jester XX last season, the AF1 Sage Low comes with a 35% increased stack height to the silhouette. You’ll also notice the Sage is a little more minimalist with the clean seams. We’ll see more of the Sage High and AF1 Rebel in the coming months. The Air Force 1 Jester XX retails for Php 5,795 while the Air Force 1 Sage Low retails for Php 4,995. You can get the Jester XX at Nike Forum and Nike Park, while the Air Force 1 Sage Low is now available at Nike Park, Nike Forum, and the Athlete’s Foot.
