FORCE FRIDAYS: Nike brings out more Air Force 1s this season

Posted on Nov 15, 2019 in Nike

While most of us are waiting for the Cactus Jack AF1s to drop this weekend, Nike Sportswear’s been serious with their release of Air Force 1s this season. After releasing the AF-1 Shadow and AF-1 Skeleton last month, Nike gives us an Air Force 1 that’ll fit right into the season with the Air Force 1 Gore-Tex.

While there has been a growing trend towards element-friendly silhouettes this season, it also makes perfect sense to have an Air Force 1 that is prepared for the elements. Nike partnered with GORE-TEX, keeping the shoe waterproof to protect you from rain, sleet or snow (especially if you plan to bring them to your winter destinations this season). The mesh and leather overlays definitely give the set a solid look, whether you pick up the Bright Ceramic or Team Gold colorways.

The Air Force 1 Gore-Tex retails for Php 7,645 and is now available at Capital (UPTC/Glorietta/Trinoma), Sole Academy (BGC/Trinoma/ATC/UPTC) and nike.com/ph.

Air Force 1 Gore-Tex High ‘THE10TH’

The Air Force 1 Gore-Tex High reminds us of the AF1 Duck Boot, but with a customizable, zippered bootie. The translucent icy soles make us want to try the shoe out during the holidays for sure. The AF-1 Gore-Tex High retails for Php 9,895 (release date to follow).

Ever since Nike acquired the rights to produce NBA apparel and footwear, we’ve seen a steady flow of AF-1s inspired by the A. While we have seen the low tops drop last month, expect to see the Air Force 1 High NBA Edition to drop this month. The latest version features a satin heel in team colors (as seen here for the Lakers) as well as a split Swoosh highlighting the team’s colors. Three teams will be available upon drop, with all pairs being available in size 3.5 and up.

Keep it locked here for more AF-1 releases this season.
