For SB: Nike SB releases a new Dunk Low SB ‘Roswell Rayguns’
We’re sure a lot of fans aren’t familiar with the Roswell Rayguns. Back in the early 2000s, Nike created the fictitious ABA basketball team led by Dr. Funk (aka Vince Carter) and his team of high flyers. What was great about the campaign was that it crossed categories, which led to the eventual release of the Rayguns Dunk SB. The originals shoe that dropped in 2005 was the first Dunk SB to feature the Nike SB logo on the tongue.
15 years later, and an absolute homage to Sandy Bodecker, the Rayguns Dunk SB is back, this time swapping the solid uppers for a tie-dye pattern. The Rayguns’ mascot can be found on the lateral heel. This new iteration definitely screams Bodecker, the godfather of Nike SB.
The Nike Dunk SB Roswell Rayguns ‘Home’ drops tomorrow, December 27 via Nike.com/ph. The shoe retails for Php 4,995 and will come in a teal box.
