FOR FLAG & COUNTRY: Nike and SBP unveil the new kits for Gilas Pilipinas
About a week ago, we featured the new home/away kits for the Nike-sponsored countries in time for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China. You might’ve seen the sketch of our very own Pilipinas jersey included in the set jerseys unveiled. Today, Nike, in partnership with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), officially unveil the new kits for Gilas Pilipinas.
Following suit from USA, China, and the rest of the countries, the new Vapor kit uses a dimensional texturized yarn that stands off the skin to help reduce cling while increasing breathability. With data and tests done to come up with the best possible cut, the new kits are body heat map engineered, lightweight and quick-dry structure allows for zero game-time distractions while maximizing performance and comfort on court. What’s even better is that these are also constructed with recycled polyester for lower environmental impact while delivering on performance.

The new blue jersey will be available at select Nike and Titan doors across the country starting today, August 15, for Php 3,595. Titan is also offering customized stenciling for the jerseys at their stores (actual stores TBD). Also included in the range are Gilas Pilipinas tees (blue and white), shorts, jackets and hoodies.
