I’m not surprised. Manny Pacquiao fans and local sneakerheads didn’t need a week’s worth of updates and announcements to know the relevance and importance of being at Nike Park The Fort last night. A little over 350 people wished upon their lucky stars at the chance of bringing home one of 50 pairs of the Trainer 1.3 Max. In line with the release of the MP Summer 2011 collection, Manny Pacquiao fans were all smiles getting their gear less than 2 weeks before the Champ’s title defense against Sugar Shane Mosley.
I left before they drew out winners but from messages I got, twitter timelines, and facebook posts, it seems like a lot of people were happy they got theirs. As much as I wanted one for myself, I had to rush out and attend to something. For the winners, congratulations. To Nike Philippines- good one. Thanks for keeping things straight. And for the people who brought in truck loads of people… well, LeBron said it best.
You can still pick up the MP Zoom Huarache Trainer as well as the rest of the MP Summer 2011 Collection (tees, hoodies, and fitteds) at select Nike stores nationwide. I was surprised to see most of NTers rocking AF1s yesterday (see photo below). Is it like an unwritten rule- “MP launch: wear MPs or AF1s”?

How much are the fitted caps?
