All-Star 2020: Nike Basketball

Posted on Feb 8, 2020 in Nike

After unveiling the All-Star Uniforms, Nike Basketball is set to release a lot of special colorways in time for All-Star Weekend. As we’ve mentioned before, February is going to be a busy and it won’t be kind on your wallet. Nike (through Converse) kicked things off with the Pro Leather OG Pack but now we have confirmation about the upcoming signature silhouettes for Nike Basketball (Jordan Brand to follow). While we won’t have all five signature athletes during the All-Star Game (only LeBron and Giannis made it to the rosters), we’re sure to see these pairs on the feet of other Nike athletes throughout the weekend as Nike celebrates Chicago 2020.

LEBRON 17 ‘Monstars’

The MONSTARS are here. With LeBron filming Space Jam 2 last Summer, it seemed fitting for Nike to create a special colorway for the villanous Monstars using the LEBRON 17. With special colored tongues, custom insoles and an iridescent treatment to the Knitposite upper, the LEBRON 17 is sure to be a hit with LeBron and Space Jam fans everywhere.

The LEBRON 17 ‘Monstars’ drops at Titan and Nike.com February 13.

Zoom Freak 1 ‘Employee of the Month’

Continuing the ‘Coming to America’ theme, Nike Basketball and Giannis release the third colorway to the series dubbed ‘Employee of the Year’. The new colorway is a play on the uniform worn by the employees of McDowell’s, the fictional restaurant in Coming to America. A plaid Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue. Accompanying apparel will also be available with this special release.

The Zoom Freak 1 ‘Employee of the Month’ is set to drop at Titan and Nike.com on February 13.

PG4 AS ‘Gatorade’

After releasing the ‘Gx’ colorway two weeks ago, Nike Basketball continues their partnership with Gatorade for a new colorway of the PG4. With the iconic Gatorade lightnin bolt on the tongue, this tie-dyesque colorway is quite reminiscent of the brand’s original colors.

The Nike PG4 AS ‘Gatorade’ is set to release this Thursday, February 13 at Titan and Nike.com.

KYRIE 6 ‘Trophies’

KYRIE 6 ‘Trophies’ – Php 6,745

Back in ’96, MJ earned his 4th NBA title on Father’s Day. What most of us didn’t realize was that Kyrie won his first championship on the same exact day two decades later. Both men paid homage to their fathers and bagging that trophy was their means of saying thank to the men that raised them. As the All-Star Game will be in Chicago, it makes perfect sense to drop the Kyrie 6 ‘Trophies’ this weekend. The new colorway comes in a red upper with gold accents throughout. The speckled icy outsole is reminiscent of the Kyrie 2 ‘Championship Pack’.

The Nike Kyrie 6 ‘Trophies’ is set to drop on February 14 at Titan and Nike.com/ph.

KD12 ‘Don C’

KD and Don C. One grew up in DC, the other from Chi-town. Basketball molded KD, while the city of Chicago had an impact on Don. Growing up, KD took the train to DC to watch the best players play on the court, while Don C took inspiration from the game and how it impacted music and fashion. The KD12 ‘Don C’ brings those worlds together, taking train tracks to symbolize the train KD took and the baby blue and red colors are a nod to the Chicago flag.

The Nike KD12 ‘Don C’ is set to drop at Titan and Nike.com/ph on February 15.
