New: 2024 marks the return of the PUMA SPEEDCAT OG

The Cat is Back.

With PFW winding down, PUMA is definitely hitting on all cylinders with the return of several notable silhouettes for its 2024 F/W collection. Among them is one of their more notable pairs, the SPEEDCAT OG, makes its triumphant return from 1998.

Beginning this Saturday, June 29, PUMA will re-release the SPEEDCAT OG as part of their SPEEDCAT campaign for F/W. Under the campaign’s slogan ‘LIBERATE YOURSELF WITH SPEEDCAT’, PUMA urges us to liberate ourselves through the shoe. Originally released as a fireproof sneaker made for F1 racers back in 1998, the shoe has become a fashion staple, due to its low-profile look. Through the late 90s and 2000s, the SPEEDCAT’s been seen on celebrities and fashion influencers globally.

For a closer look at the SPEEDCAT OG, the shoe uses an Ultra Suede upper, stamped with gold foil logos on the tongue and heel tab. An updated midsole and Softform+ footbed ensures a lighter, more comfortable fit, making the shoe easier to wear than its predecessors. In terms of design, the Leaping Cat logo is embroidered on the toe, a unique touch that makes the SPEEDCAT truly stand out.

The PUMA SPEEDCAT will come in various colorways throughout the season and will also be available through collaborations with Coperni and JUUN J. to name a few.
