Jordans, Jordans and more Jordans

Nike and Jordan Brand really know how to empty your pockets at the most opportune times. As they released the Kobe Vs (four colorways at that) last weekend, those weren’t the only notable releases you had to get your hands on. Jordan Brand, preparing for God’s 25th release next week, had a couple other releases worth your hard earned dinero.
First up ofcourse is the Air Jordan VI Black/Red. Obviously, they were gone. Real quick. Real heads picked these up and understood the value of such a shoe dropping on our shores. Sadly, I don’t have a picture of them to prove that they really were on sale. But yes, they were out, saw them in bags and reserved at stock rooms around town. As my man King Crux would put it, they were gone with the quickness! Another AJVI release were the Motorsports edition (seen above and below). Not only is this MJ’s 6th shoe, but it also commemorates MJs 6th year into the motorsports/bike world. The clean look makes you want to lick them. What’s great here is that JB used premium leathers for this release. Yes folks, these are Quickstrikes. So grab one now before you start regretting and remembering the time when you had the chance.

For those who want to keep it ol’ school, JB also released the Urban Haze/Dark Army Jordan 1s. I’m sure they didn’t come out this weekend, but aren’t they great? The olive green/white/gum works well with any neutral theme. Versatility is the key to this one. It may seem to be an off color at first glance, but what’s great about earthy tones is that they work with everything. They retail for about 5,995php (correct me if I’m wrong guys, memory’s not the same anymore). Check out the laces on the Js, ain’t that something you don’t see everday on a Jordan.

Last but certainly not the least, are the Tinker Hatfield Jordan Alpha 1s. This may look like the Jordan 1s, but they’ve been tweaked for 2010. The Alpha 1s have full length zoom air to cushion your precious puppies. Now, you can ball in Jordan 1s without worrying about hurting after the game. I failed to take a photo of the footbed on these bad boys. The left one reads “The first to bring color to the game.” with the second reading “Thank you.” This is actually a fitting tribute to Tinker, who’s engineered the most iconic kicks we’ve all grown to love (AM1s, AJs 3 onwards, except for most of the latter ones). Can you believe that Jordans have been in existence for 25 years already? Remarkable, right? Well, 2010 will be filled with Jordans so save up folks. This’ll be one expensive year.

Oh by the way, the Jordan 1 25th Anniversary joints also came out last weekend along with the briefcase. Yes, a briefcase. It’s only 7,495php guys, a steal if you ask me. Check them out at the bigger Nike stores around Manila for availability (if they’re not yet gone). I heard BHS, Glorietta, MOA and Trinoma had them. Call them for more info! Thanks to Nike Trinoma for letting me take photos with ease.
